The Rwenzori region consisting of 7 districts (Kabarole, Kyenjojo, Kamwenge, Kasese, Kyegegwa,Ntoroko and Bundibugyo) of Western Uganda has for decades been characterized by conflicts associatedwith cultural and ethnic differences that exist among the people of the region. The conflicts betweencultural groups have always raised questions about governance; leadership and fairness in the sharingand use of natural resources e.g. land. The Rwenzori Regional Think Tank initiative brought together Rwenzori regional agriculture stakeholdersthat reflected on the challenges facing agriculture sector in the region. This report presents findings of a Health facility monitoring exercise conducted in four districts of the Rwenzori region.
