As we near the end of 2024, we share with you some incredible work that KRC-Uganda has
done this month to address malnutrition, protect vulnerable populations, and empower
communities
In Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, KRC-Uganda is working to tackle malnutrition and land
challenges, which are especially tough on women and girls. They’re also addressing early
marriages and resource scarcity through programs like mechanized farming and second-chance education for teenage mothers.
Over in Rhino Settlement, KRC-Uganda is focused on child protection through the STEPs
project. They’re identifying and supporting vulnerable children, including those in
child-headed households.
It’s inspiring to see community-based structures like child protection committees and
gender-based violence activists stepping up to safeguard children and women. These
grassroots e orts are making a real difference.
These stories highlight the incredible impact of community-driven approaches to address
Uganda’s most pressing challenges. KRC-Uganda is truly making a difference and empowering communities for a healthier, safer future.
