Following trainings given to farmers in Kabarole, Kasese and Bunyangabu by KRC, in making bio-concoctions testimonies coming in from farmers reveal enormous success among the farmers who have applied the natural pesticides on their crops.

KRC trained the farmers to make 3 products of the bioconcoctions that include: chilli concentrate, urine herbs and wood ash solution plus garlic, onion, leaks and spring onion concentrate.

The farmers reveal that the pests have since disappeared completely from the crops that were sprayed with the solutions. Some farmers expressed optimism that they will start saving money that would be used to buy inorganic pesticides –since they now have the knowledge and skills of making their own pesticides.   This gives hope that farmers will find it easy to address the pest challenge in agro-ecology since they now have an alternative.
