Farmers in Rwamwanja host community in Bigolo village Kaberebere parish Kamwenge district attending a post harvest training The community empowerment streak by KRC has reached a notch higher-with a new addition to its already ‘rich’ niche; it has teamed up with World Food Program to bolster food security among the refugee camp in Rwamwanja. Under the partnership farmers are equipped with skills in post-harvest handling as well as supporting them to acquire subsidized storage equipments. This will help the farmers cope with post harvest vagaries that usually affect farm produce. The project which started late December with an aim of reducing post harvest losses among Smalholde Farmers both in Rwamwanja refugee camp and host community has now begun recording success . The farmers have already begun using the new techniques to handle their produce –and even using the new silos
